Missing Campbell River man found dead

The search for a missing Campbell River man has come to a sad end.

Searchers found the body of Bernard Eberlein yesterday.

The RCMP first reported him missing on Monday.

“Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time,” says Cst. Maury Tyre. “The family would like to thank the Campbell River Search and Rescue members for all their efforts and request privacy at this time.”

Foul play is not suspected in Eberlein’s death.

The matter has been turned over to the BC Coroner’s Service.
