Another well known and popular event won’t be happening this summer as a result of COVID-19.
Comox Nautical Days has announced that the 2020 festival won’t be moving ahead this year.
Organizers of the festival echoed what provincial Health Officer Dr.Bonnie Henry said on April 18th regarding large summer events.
“On Saturday, April 18th, 2020, the provincial health officer cancelled all large summer events including all music festivals across BC. We fully support this initiative as the health and safety of our family, friends, and the community is of the highest priority,” read a statement on its Facebook page.
The festival says energy will now be focused on getting “creative and begin putting together the best show ever for Nautical Days 2021.”
The Nautical Days committee will be contacting anyone who was booked in and prepaid shortly.
