Local Mounties are investigating reports of what appears to be a suspicious man offering candy to kids on Fitzgerald Avenue in Courtenay Sunday afternoon.

Constable Sinclair has details on the description of the suspect, called into RCMP.
Sinclair says unfortunately the tip to police came in about two hours after the alleged incident, so by the time RCMP responded to the area, no suspect was found.
