You will soon be able to head out on the golf course and enjoy some golf.

The Crown Isle Resort and Golf Community announced that it will be opening to the public on May 1st.

General Manager Bill Kelly says while the course has been open since the start of the pandemic, it has taken many precautionary measures to make sure people are safe.

“From day one we limited it to members only from the start and then probably two weeks ago we opened up to one member and one guest. As of May 1st now we’re going to open up to the public on the golf course.”

“We’ve set in our protocols around the golf course and around the resort to where we feel like our team, our members and our guests are all safe to stop the spread of the virus,” says Kelly.

Some of those changes include installing sanitizer dispensers and having on the course marshalls to make sure physical distancing is maintained.

Kelly added that if you stay safe, a round of golf is a great way to relieve some stress.
“It’s nice to get outside and there’s no better place to social distance than the golf course. You’ll find a lot of players don’t like to talk to each other anyways. At the times we’re in you have plenty of space to social distance out there and keep your distance from your playing partners while still getting some exercise playing the game you love.”

As of May 1st you can book a tee time, or sign up for one through The Crown Isle Resort and Golf Community’s new app.
