Marine rescue for passenger overboard

A marine rescue operation late this afternoon southeast of Bowen Island involving a passenger going overboard from the Queen of Oak Bay running between Nanaimo and Horsehoe Bay has been stood down.

Sources say the individual has been recovered and service will resume shortly. Ferry service has encountered, “operational delays” as a result.
