Cumberland hosting ‘mini-parade’ for Victoria Day celebrations

With the current health crisis, it’s pretty much impossible to have the Comox Valley Victoria Day parade this year.

The Cumberland Events Society, however, didn’t let the pandemic slow them down.

The group is putting together a parade, but it’s going to be on a much smaller scale.

A post on the Currently Cumberland Facebook page explained that the group will be organizing a micro-parade throughout the village tomorrow morning.

The village is encouraging residents to look out their windows or watch the parade from a safe distance on their porch/driveway as it’s planning to come down every street in Cumberland.

The parade will be making its way throughout town tomorrow starting at 10:00am. To learn more, visit the Currently Cumberland Facebook page.
