Well it was quite the adventure for a little hummingbird this long weekend!
A woman in Victoria received a bouquet of flowers from her sister and was surprised to discover the little bird taped to the package.
We spoke to Trina Potter from the Courtenay 5th Street Florist – where the package came from – to find out what happened.
She goes more into detail, including how the bird survived time spent in the cooler.
As mentioned, since the bird’s been rescued, he’s been recovering nicely at a rehab centre in Metchosin.
