CFB Comox conducting training near Goose Spit this week

Canadain Forces Base Comox says its members will be conducting training throughout the valley this week.

19 Wing says both tomorrow and Tuesday, members will be taking part in regular training exercises at the base.

Then on Wednesday, they will be shifting to HMCS Quadra on Goose Spit.

Military police vehicles will be present at HMCS Quadra, and training exercises will include the use of weapons inside one of the buildings nearby.

Residents and visitors of the Comox Valley are reminded that these activities are routine military training and that there is no need to report them to 19 Wing Comox or to local emergency services.

Any questions may be directed to 19 Wing Comox Public Affairs.
