Comox Valley Child Development Association resuming in-person services

The Comox Valley Child Development Association courtyard was alive Friday afternoon as it celebrated its official re-opening.

The organization said its courtyard has now changed into a fully functional meeting place for on-site direct services.

It will also have space throughout the warmer months for a number of CVCDA programs as it resumes in-person services.

The organization says a lot of help has come from Simba Investments.

“Simba Investments has been a great supporter of this phase of our reopening. It is with their generous donation, we were loaned all six of the pop-up tents and eight tables to use throughout the space.”

Throughout the pandemic, organizers were only able to meet in public parks, so the CVCDA says everyone is excited to be back at the facility.

The group says its working on the next stage of the re-opening plan, which will include some renovations.

“Our completed reopening plan incorporates many of the guidelines laid out by the Provincial Health Authority, WorkSafe BC, Health Sciences Association and our Occupational Health and Safety Committee.

“We look forward to advancing to the next phases of reopening once construction has been completed and getting back to a more ‘normal’ way of operating.”
