Comox Community Center expands hours and fitness programs

You will now have more time to get a workout in or to join some fitness classes at the Comox Community Center.

The facility announced that it has expanded its hours of operation and will now be able to host Fitness Studio sessions.

Starting today, it will be open Mondays to Fridays with added Fitness Studio registered timeslots at 3:00pm, 4:30pm and 6:00pm and Fridays at 3:00 pm.

The full Fitness Studio schedule can be seen below:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00-8:15am, 8:30-9:45am, 10:00-11:15am, 12:00-1:15pm, 1:30- 2:45pm, 3:00-4:15pm, 4:30-5:45pm and 6:00-7:15pm
  • Friday: 7:00-8:15am, 8:30-9:45am, 10:00-11:15am, 12:00-1:15pm, 1:30-2:45pm and 3:00-4:15pm

The community centre first re-opened back in June and was operating on a revised schedule of Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 2:45pm with limited access to its fitness programs.

This first phase was deliberately limited so staff could test and refine COVID-19 protocols.

The Community Centre plans to expand its hours even further to include evenings and weekends starting September 8th, but that will only be approved pending continued good news about the province’s battle with the COVID pandemic.
