CVRD survey gauges interest on rural garbage, recycling collection

The Comox Valley Regional District wants you to throw in your thoughts on garbage collection.

The district is looking at bringing in rural roadside garbage and recycling collection services in Electoral Areas A, B and C.

The first step is collecting input on your degree of interest.

It would only be pursued in areas where there is community support, and if technical and operational requirements can be met.

Mount Washington, Denman and Hornby Islands are not included in this review.

If you live in any of those areas, you’re invited to fill out a survey to let the district know how  you currently deal with your waste, and how you’d like it dealt with in the future.

Responses are anonymous and will help CVRD staff and directors see which neighbourhoods are interested in a new service.

You can link to the surveys here.
