More delays expected on Comox Road near Glacier View Drive

Get ready for more delays if you use the Comox Road hill and Glacier View Drive.

The Comox Valley Regional District is continuing its geotechnical and groundwater investigation work in the area from August 22nd to 24th.

The work could not be completed by August 17th as originally planned due to drilling conditions and technical difficulties.

You can expect delays, and single-lane closures between 8:00am and 6:00pm daily.

Work will begin on Comox Road and move to Glacier View, with only one location impacted at a time.

The CVRD is also working in the Lazo Road area until August 28th.

This investigation work is related to the District’s ongoing sewer planning project.

It will consult the public on three different options for improvements to the wastewater system sometime this fall.
