Comox Valley Sports Centre reopening September 8th

For the first time in five months, residents of the Comox Valley will get to enjoy the Comox Valley Sports Centre again.

The regional district has announced that starting September 8th, the facility will be reopening to the public.

“The re-opening of the Sports Centre, including the pool facility, has been a top priority to ensure the well-being and health of our community,” explains Sports Commission Chair Daniel Arbour.

“The Aquatic Centre will remain closed for now while we monitor the demand and COVID-19 risks prior to re-opening this facility. In order to protect the health and safety of users and the staff please remain home if you are sick or showing any signs of COVID-19.”

The facility has been closed to the public since March 17th to help limit the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Some pool programs will be available and will include aquacise, rehab swim times, lane swim times, and select swim lessons.

For more information on the re-opening, or to make a reservation or register for a program, call 250-334-9622 or visit www.comoxvalleyrd.ca/registration.
