19 Wing Comox partners with Comox Valley Foodbank to give to those in need

The Christmas spirit is alive and well in the Comox Valley this month.

19 Wing is teaming up with the Comox Valley Food Bank to help raise donations for those in need this holiday season.

Earlier this month, the base decorated its Heritage Air Park to try and raise spirits amidst a challenging year, and now they are hoping to make a difference in a more direct way.

The CVFB is setting up its truck next to the Glacier Gardens Ice Arena, across from the Heritage Air Park to accept donations.

The truck will be on site from 6:00-8:00pm daily and will accept non-perishable food items, gift cards, cash, or cheques.

19 Wing is hoping that valley residents bring some food with them when they visit the air park Christmas display and drop them off when they are done looking at the decorations.

To learn more, reach out to 19 Wing Public Affairs at 250-339-8201.
