Lake Trail invites community to capture history through time capsule

Lake Trail Community School is inviting the community to celebrate its history.

It’s encouraging former students, educators, staff, and interested community members to join an online Facebook group to share and contribute stories, photographs, and memorabilia.

The online collection of photos, videos and other items will be used by current students who are exploring and documenting the history of the school through the decades.

Everything collected will be featured in the students final projects, which will include adding them to a time capsule in the schools new building which won’t be opened until the 100th anniversary in 2055.

The renovations on that section of the school are still ongoing and wont be completed until this fall.

If you would like to learn more about the initiative, reach out to School District 71, or visit the Facebook group.
