Local suffers ‘serious & life-threatening stab wounds’: Campbell River RCMP

A stabbing in Campbell River has led to three arrests.

At around 8:45 am yesterday (Mar. 25th), police got a call that a 40-year-old man had been taken to hospital with “serious and life-threatening stab wounds.”

Investigating officers were able to pinpoint where the incident took place. They then found and arrested three men in connection to the stabbing, and police say all three were from the Lower Mainland.

“This was a very serious incident,” says Cst. Maury Tyre. “It is believed that the parties involved were known to one another and there was no danger to the general public in the community.”

However, Tyre adds the investigation is ongoing.
