RCMP investigating after body found in ocean near Comox

The Comox Valley RCMP is now investigating after a body of a man was found in the ocean near Comox.

Media relations officer, Constable Monika Terragni says police responded to the call around 3:45pm Tuesday after a report came in for a body offshore near St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox.

She says the circumstances surrounding his death are currently under investigation and the Comox Valley RCMP is working with the BC Coroners Service but is asking for public help to determine what happened.

“Anyone who drove, cycled, or walked in this area and saw something of interest, please give us a call to speak with investigators,” said Terragni.
