Comox Valley RCMP execute search warrants in Cumberland

The Comox Valley RCMP is sharing details after search warrants yielded drugs and weapons from a home in Cumberland.

It happened April 21st, at a house on the 2700-block of Derwent Avenue. 

Police ended up arresting one person while seizing crossbows, weapons, over $10,000 cash, what’s believed to be controlled substances, and associated paraphernalia for trafficking. 

As well, four vehicles, a boat, and an ATV were seized which will be referred to the Civil Forfeiture Office.

People living in the area brought their concerns about this home to the local Bylaw enforcement and the police. 

“The execution of these search warrants is the result of working in partnership with bylaw enforcement to address these concerns,” said RCMP spokesperson, Const. Monika Terragni.

The Comox Valley RCMP Street Crimes Unit will complete a comprehensive disclosure package for Crown Counsel to review and approve criminal charges as appropriate.

Comox Valley RCMP is reminding everyone who witnessed anything they believe to be suspicious to call (250) 338-1321 and make a police report.
