Military Search and Rescue plane in the Comox Valley this week

Even though the Snowbirds are gone, you can still get your fix of planes this week.

While it won’t be jets, 19 Wing Comox says a CC-130H Hercules aircraft will be flying across the Comox Valley over the next week as part of search and rescue training.

It will be here starting tomorrow and will stick around until next Tuesday, June 8th. 

19 Wing Comox says search and rescue training requires low flying and repeated passes over a specific area but crews will be doing what they can to minimize the disruption to the community.
