Summer recreation programs active for Comox Valley residents

June is here and that means summer recreation programs are kicking off for the Comox Valley.

Registration is now open for those looking to get their summer sports fix.

The City of Courtenay says you can sign up for a bunch of different activities like summer day camps, preschool camps and sports camps at the Lewis Centre, programs at the Outdoor Pool at Lewis Park, and other fitness activities in the valley.

You can either register for programs online or by calling the city.

The city says safety is its top priority and the Lewis Centre, Filberg Centre, and The LINC Youth Centre are open on a limited basis for programs, pre-reserved fitness and Wellness Centre sessions only.

To view the safety plans for current programs, or to sign up visit the City of Courtenay’s website.
