Vancouver Island Visitor Centre going full tilt

Busy times for the Vancouver Island Visitor Centre!

That from centre spokesperson Linda Yaretz, who says since their doors opened for the season back on January 20th, there has been a steady stream of visitors, from all over the country, including the United States. Yaretz says a major new trend this year has people staying for much longer periods of time, with plans to move to the area.

Yaretz breaks down the visitor numbers.

Yaretz it is clear this is shaping up to be an extremely busy summer season on the tourism front, adding many visitors stop by the centre near the Cumberland Interchange, with plans to visit the entire North Island, including Campbell River, Port McNeil and Port Hardy.
