Heatwave causing curbside collection delays or cancellations this week 

The heat isn’t just affecting our bodies, it’s also affecting curbside collection this week. 

The City of Courtenay says because of the high temperatures, and concerns for the health and safety of collection crews, you should expect delays or even cancellations in collection this week. 

The city says if crews are able to work on your designated collection day, the priority will be garbage collection, followed by recycling, then yard waste.

If collection doesn’t happen this week, the city is asking that you hold onto your materials until your next collection day.
