It also has people here wondering about the fire risk as we head into the start of the camping season.
Marg Drysdale of the Coastal Fire Centre says for most of the Island and Sunshine Coast the danger rating is moderate right now.
Drysdale says they don’t foresee any move to campfire or other burning bans just yet, but they’re reminding people to follow the same precautions as they would when the risks are higher.

Municipal burning regulations and bans are also in place throughout the region.
