Police seek witnesses after an indecent act in Comox

Comox Valley RCMP are looking for witnesses after a man was seen exposing himself on the 600-block of Colby Road in Comox last Wednesday (June 30th).

A 12-year old girl reported to her mother that she was on Colby Road at around 11:15 a.m. when she saw a young man exposing himself while riding a bicycle.

She described him as having an average build and in his 20s, with short blond hair.

He was reportedly wearing a white t-shirt and white shorts and his bicycle had curved handlebars.

“We’d like to encourage anyone who is out walking to stay alert to their surroundings,” said media relations officer, Const. Monika Terragni.

“This is also a good time to talk to children in your care about staying safe and being alert as they’re enjoying our beautiful summer weather.”

The Comox Valley RCMP is asking residents to report any suspicious activities immediately to the RCMP.

Anyone with information should contact the Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321 and refer to file 2021-10579. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Comox Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at comoxvalleycrimestoppers.bc.ca.
