Comox Lake boaters come under fire

Local Mounties confirm an active investigation is on the go, on a recent apparent shooting incident in the Comox Lake area, where several boaters thought they were coming under repeated gunshot fire.

RCMP Constable Don Sinclair says RCMP are on the hunt for suspects, as their investigation continues in the area.

Meanwhile Constable Don Sinclair says the RCMP Traffic Section handed out just over two dozen tickets recently, many for Comox Valley drivers yapping away on their cell phones, while behind the wheel.

You can count on a lot more tickets to be handed out this weekend, as RCMP across the country will be out in full force for National RCMP Impaired Driving Enforcement Day on Saturday.
