New highway maximum speeds kicking in shortly!

Chances are you’ve heard that tune from Sammy Hagar, “I can’t drive 55”. Well how does 120 kilometres an hour sound?

That will soon be the new maximum speed limit on the Inland Island Highway, from Parksville to Campbell River, after the BC Transportation Ministry rolled out new maximum speed limits for highways around the province. Goat News spoke with RCMP Constable Don Sinclair who has no major concerns about it.

Sinclair says he was actually unaware of the new maximum speed limit on the Inland Island Highway until Goat News hit him up for reaction on it today.

The new maximum speed limits will be phased in over the next several weeks, although BC sign crews are already hitting the road around the province installing new signs.
