Comox offers cooling options from July 28th to Aug. 3rd

As we deal with another heatwave, the Town of Comox is offering cooling options over the long weekend.

The Comox Community Centre Indoor Cooling Areas are open (1855 Noel Ave.) are open today and tomorrow from 6:00am to 6:00pm,  Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 1:45pm, and Tuesday from 6:00am to 9:00pm;

Comox Fire Hall Outdoor Cooling Mist Station (1870 Noel Ave.), located in front of the fire hall, is open daily from 11:00am to 5:00pm. There is also a dog water bowl available for four-legged friends; and

The Comox Rotary Splash Park, Marina Park (127 Port Augusta St.) is open daily from 10:00am to 8:00pm.

During this mini heatwave, you’re encouraged to drink plenty of water, even before feeling thirsty, and to stay in cool places. 

Check on your loved ones and neighbours, especially seniors to make sure they are cool and drinking water.
