Revving up the engines in the fight against prostate cancer

On June 6th, motorcyclists will rev their engines in the fight against prostate cancer. It’s the 15th annual Telus Ride for Dad event.

One of the event’s founders, Gary Janz, says many years ago he interviewed a prostate cancer survivor. His story had a strong impact on Gary, which then led to the idea for the Ride for Dad.

He adds this past year, they donated over $2 million towards prostate cancer research. He says the Comox Valley edition of the ride has been very successful.

Janz touches on the impact of prostate cancer.

There are multiple rides going across the country, and the Comox Valley edition of the Telus Ride for Dad goes on June 6th.
