Curbside collection woes continue in the Comox Valley

The City of Courtenay says curbside collection contractor Emterra is continuing to report ongoing delays with curbside collection. 

The collection priority this week continues to be garbage, so for Zone 5 today, there will be no recycling or yard waste pickup.

Any missed recycling from yesterday’s collection will not be picked up at all this week, and they’re asking residents to take your materials back from the curb. 

The Town of Comox advises that properties in the Yellow Zone will see their garbage, yard waste and organics collected today. But since Emterra does not have an extra recycling trucks, the missed recycling from last Friday won’t be picked up until your next scheduled recycling collection day
