Health Canada approves Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for children 12 and older

Older children now have access to a second COVID-19 vaccine in Canada.

Health Canada said today it considers the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to be “safe and effective at preventing COVID-19” in children between the ages of 12 and 17.

The first vaccine for the age group, Pfizer’s, was approved for use in May.
