Comox Valley Schools releases back to school plan

School District 71 (Comox Valley) has released its back to school plan for September.

The plan focuses on in-person learning, but online schooling is still an option.

Those who choose remote learning can find more details here.

The first day of school is Sept. 7.

The majority of the guidelines in the plan were in effect at the end of the last school year.

Staff and students in Grades 4-12 will be required to wear masks indoors and the remaining students will be encouraged to mask up.

Cohort groupings will not be enforced as school resumes.

Daily health checks will be completed, and those who are sick should stay home.

Physical distancing won’t be required, and extracurricular activities will resume.

More information about the plan can be found on the Comox Valley Schools website.
