Local Mounties investigate break ins

Another rash of residential, commercial and vehicle “B and E’s” are under investigation by local RCMP.

RCMP Constable Don Sinclair says the summer like weather has some residents letting their guard down, when it comes to household security.

Constable Sinclair says thieves broke into an apartment, in the 23-hundred block of Mansfield Drive in Courtenay, stealing clothing, photo equipment, a guitar and a computer. Another break in targeted a home on Mitchell Place in Courtenay, with various household items ripped off.

In another heist a 2015 Quad was recently stolen.

Police are also investigating a break in to a vehicle parked on Grant Avenue, a military work uniform and military ID were stolen.
