Comox Valley Regional District lifts restrictions for all water systems

Feel free to water again in all parts of the Comox Valley.

This comes as the Comox Valley Regional District lifted all water restrictions, effective immediately.

Water restrictions are no longer in place for the Comox Valley Water System, which includes Comox, Courtenay, and the Comox Valley Water Local Service Area.

Restrictions are also lifted for the Black Creek – Oyster Bay (BCOB), Royston and Union Bay Water Local Service areas.

“We really appreciate the effort these communities put into water conservation this year, particularly during such an intense drought season like we experienced,” noted Mike Herschmiller, manager of water services for the CVRD.

“It’s great to be able to lift all restrictions for our water systems after such a long, dry summer season.”

Here residents can also download a home watering guide, and learn more about why water restrictions are needed.
