Comox firefighters donate to Connect Warming Centre

Comox fighters have donated $1,000 to the Connect Warming Centre through the Comox Valley Transition Society.

The Connect Warming Centre is currently being used for temporary housing for some of the displaced residents of the recent Travelodge fire in Courtenay.

In a release, Comox Fire Rescue says the “Comox Firefighters Association has a long history of helping others by not only responding to emergencies but by assisting in other ways.”

Chief Gord Schreiner states: “I am very proud of our firefighters for their donation and all of the charitable work they do all year long. Our firefighters understand that they can make a positive difference in so many ways.”
