Beautifying the city of Courtenay

Spring is in the air, and tomorrow you can help beautify the city of Courtenay!

It’s Centennial Mile of Flowers time! The annual Mile of Flowers plant-in starts up at 5 o’clock along Cliffe Avenue between 8th and 21st Streets.

The city’s director of community services, Randy Wiwchar, gives a little insight on the background and history of this event.

He adds there are some special treats for everyone who comes out to the Centennial event.

The event will be followed up by a BBQ at Standard Park. For more on the Mile of Flowers, visit the city of Courtenay’s official website.
