Comox Valley Aquatic Centre to temporarily close for deck remediation warranty work

The Comox Valley Aquatic Centre will be closed from Nov. 8 to Nov. 11 so that deck remediation warranty work can be done.

This work is because of the deck upgrades that were finished in the summer.

“We want to thank residents for their understanding regarding this unexpected closure,” said CVRD senior manager of recreation facilities Jennifer Zbinden. “This short-term closure will address the slippery deck concerns to protect public safety moving forward.”

The aquatic centre will open again at 6:00 am on Nov. 12.

The Comox Valley Sports Centre will stay open and certain programs have been moved to this facility.

The program schedule can be viewed here.
