Highway 19A in Black Creek reopens following vehicle incident

A slow go north of Courtenay this evening.

DriveBC says Highway 19A at Endall Rd. in Black Creek has now reopened, after a ‘vehicle incident’ left it fully closed for hours.

Just before 5:30 pm, Oyster River Fire Rescue reported the road was closed. It anticipated a four-hour closure.

With emergency crews on scene, DriveBC told drivers to brace for delays, detouring via Howard Rd. or Hamm Rd.

According to reports, police, fire, BC Ambulance Services and air ambulance attended the scene.
