Habitat VIN matching challenge to support affordable housing in Courtenay and Campbell River

Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North’s holiday matching challenge will help new affordable housing developments in Courtenay and Campbell River become a reality.

The challenge starts on Nov 30. and local businesses are matching as much as $12,000 in donations.

The Habitat for Humanity Comox Valley or Campbell River ReStores will be accepting donations from 10:00 am and 3:30 pm on Nov. 30 or from noon to 3:00 pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays from Dec.1 to Dec. 22.

Contributions will help finance a 12-home project on 1375 Piercy Avenue in Courtenay and a 20-home development on 461 Hilchey Road in Campbell River.

People can also donate online at habitatdonate.com and choose to support the Courtenay or Campbell River developments or other Habitat for Humanity operations.

Robbins and Company, Christoph Real Estate Group, and Fresh Coast Investments will be matching donations until Dec. 31.
