Travel Advisory in place for Highway 1 between Duncan and Nanaimo

A short but intense storm dumped snow across the southern coast overnight, leaving roads and highways under another blanked of white. 

One of the worst-hit areas is Highway 1 on Vancouver Island, between Nanaimo and Duncan. People are being asked to stay off that area unless absolutely necessary.

Drive BC has issued a travel advisory for that stretch of highway, saying they will issue their next update at 5:00 pm this evening.
