Comox woman wins $75,000 after buying BC/49 ticket

A Comox woman has won $75,000 after purchasing a BC/49 ticket from the Oct. 27 draw.

Shirley Burke bought the ticket from Quality Foods in Comox, which is where she learned that she won.

“I found out I won and couldn’t believe it,” said Burke. “My first thought was, ‘What am I going to do with this win?’”

Burke plans to invest some of the money.
