Comox Valley RCMP is investigating an early morning robbery in Merville.

The robbery happened at around 6:15 a.m. on Tuesday at the Merville General Store in the 6600-block of the Island Highway.

The victim told police that three people, one female and two males, entered the store and the female brandished what appeared to be a firearm.

The female was described as having frizzy maroon-coloured hair with a black face mask and baggy clothing. One of the males was described as having short dark hair. He was wearing a baseball cap and black clothing.

Police believe the suspects might have fled in a vehicle.

Officers are asking anyone who may have been in the area to call Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321.

“There may have been people out for a morning walk in the area or potentially people driving through who have dashcam footage. If that was you, please give us a call,” said Cst. Monika Terragni, Comox Valley RCMP.
