Army unit to be training near Seal Bay

Residents of the area near Seal Bay are being advised of army training at the end of February.

The Canadian Scottish Regiment, based on Vancouver Island, will be doing infantry training at the Seal Bay training area on Waveland Road from Feb. 25 to 27.

National Defense says residents may see soldiers moving on foot in their camouflage uniforms holding infantry weapons, and nearby residents will hear the occasional firing of blank training ammunition.

Soldiers will also be moving in the area of Huband and Quenville roads between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

There will also be an increase in traffic entering and exiting the area.
