Stage 2 water restrictions now in effect

With a pretty much non-existent snow-pack resulting in minimal water in-flows, and a dry summer on the way, the Comox Valley Regional District has adopted stage 2 water restrictions…effective today!

Courtenay Councillor Bob Wells is the Chair of the Comox Valley Water Committee. He says it’s shaping up to be another scorcher of a summer!

He adds things are definitely changing when it comes to our climate.

Under stage 2 watering restrictions, Valley residents can do their lawn watering with even numbered addresses on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Odd numbered addresses can do their watering on Wednesdays and Sundays. Those watering times go from 4 AM till 9 AM, and between 7 PM and 10 PM.
