Black Creek runner sets Canadian record at Prefontaine Classic

A Black Creek runner has crushed an old record and set a new one. Cam Levins was a speedster at the recent Nike Prefontaine Classic in Oregon.

Levins completed the 10,000 metre track race in 27:07.51. Levins surpassed the previous Canadian record held by Simon Bairu of Regina. Bairu’s time set in 2010 was 27:23.63.

Mo Farah of Great Britain was the winner of the 10,000 metre race with a time of 26:50.97.
