Bike for the children fundraiser set for August

While most of us will be relaxing with a cool beverage this B.C. Day long weekend, one group will be sweating it out on a 256 km bike ride from Campbell River all the way to Victoria.

Arlene Lihala is the founder and president of the Chikondi One Heart Angels Orphanage, and this will be the second year of their ride, called Bike for the Children. She says all the money raised will go directly to helping the children in the orphanage.

Anybody is welcome to join the ride, which will leave from Spirit Square in Campbell River on August 3rd, and end up at the Parliament buildings in Victoria the next day.

If you’d like to donate, or to find more information about the ride, check out the orphanage website at www.chikondiorphanage.com.
