Canada Day flyby over Courtenay

COURTNAY, B.C. – Lewis Park in Courtenay will be the site of an Air Force flyover of CH-149 Cormorant helicopters, all part of Canada Day ceremonies.  These aircraft are bright yellow, flying at an altitude lower than 500 feet (0.15 km) above the ground.  The choppers will maintain that altitude throughout the entire route from their base at 19 Wing Comox over Lewis Park and 5th street in Downtown Courtenay. It is set to begin around 11: 00 am tomorrow.
