Courtenay’s blueprint to the future

COURTNAY, B.C. – The city of Courtenay has adopted a new vision of its future, with City Council approval on Monday of the Official Community Plan. The 279-page document  covers a  wide range of issues that will impact the lives of Courtenay residents.
The document covers everything from affordable housing, parks and recreation to arts, culture, and even food.  

Courtenay Mayor Bob Wells says, “The OCP provides a strong foundation for all City of Courtenay decision-making. A number of proposals will require further investigation and consultation in order to implement fully. We look forward to working with the wider community on implementation priorities as they evolve.”  He also expressed deep gratitude for the many people who participated in the process.
