Preparations are in high gear for the City of Courtenay’s Homecoming week, set for June 26th to July fifth.
It’s all part of the city’s huge centennial celebrations as the city marks its 100th birthday.
We touched base with Randy Wiwchar, the City of Courtenay’s Director of Community Services.
Wiwchar has more details on what that tailgate party is all about.
The Centennial Sports Festival and Tailgate Party goes June 27th at the Comox Valley Sports Centre from 11 AM, till 10 PM.
Everybody is welcome to come out and by the way the event is totally free of charge. The city is appealing to all former Courtenay residents to make it back to the Comox Valley and join in those homecoming week festivities.
