A new EV charging station is up and running in downtown Courtenay

Recharging an electric vehicle in Courtenay has become more convenient thanks to a new charging station in the downtown area.

The dual-head electric vehicle (EV) charging station is located at the corner of 6th Street and England Avenue.

It is been placed in a spot near to many restaurants, shops, and other businesses.

It will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with site parking for up to two hours.

More charging stations will be installed early next year at the Lewis Centre and City
Hall.
