Royal Canadian Airforce crew visits U.S. Coast Guard station

A U.S. coast guard base in Oregon had a friendly visit from a military helicopter crew north of the border.

A Canadian Air Force search and rescue crew from 19-Wing CFB Comox paid them a visit.

They talked about professional development, search and rescue exercises and the Canadian officers toured the air station and helicopter assets.

Lt. Kyle Jackson, a pilot at Air Station Astoria, says it was a great opportunity to learn from one another.

“Sharing ideas, tactics, training and policy helps us foster our continued relationship with our friends to the North”, said Jackson. “Today was a great opportunity to build and learn from each other.”
